Nissan Z: focus on hybrid and diesel
This is a consequence of the merger between Renault-Nissan group and Daimler. We knew that some big engines of the German company would join the Renault and Nissan but things become clearer and the British magazine Autocar that the iconic Z might be one of the first served, several precisely the replacement for the current 370Z .
The aim of the operation is economical but it also provides a sporty Nissan offer cleaner engines.
Three blocks Mercedes would be considered, all hybrid or diesel.
The first is that of the Mercedes S400, a V6 petrol engine coupled to an electric motor in a hybrid parallel. But Nissan can also opt for the hybrid power house of the Infiniti M.
Side diesel hybrid that would block the next class E, a four cylinder engine combined with a 20 horse power, all developing 221 hp. A more powerful diesel would complement this offer, the V6-Class E 350 CDI.
What a change for the Z!
