The Aston Martin DB2 followed the 2-litre sports chassis design in many ways but was 9 inches shorter in the wheelbase. The body itself was the work of designer Frank Feeley and was built around a square section tube frame on which an aluminium body was attached. The new Aston Martin DB2 engine was designed under the guidance of the great W.O.Bentley.

The Aston Martin DB2 was in both Coupe and Drophead Coupe. The engine had twin overhead camshafts, hemispherical combustion chambers, a stroke of 90 mm and bore 78 mm giving a capacity of 2580 cc.

In standard form, power output was 105bhp. A 125bhp Vantage version was later offered. The is known for its superb chassis, great performance, and an immense amount of character.

Details of the Aston Martin DB2 were released to the Press on April 12, 1950 and was shown as a production car at the New York Motor Show on April 15-23.

2010 Renault Modus Evian Masters Limited Edition - Renault Cars

Renault has release a new limited edition version of Modus which features the event celebrated colours, Renault Modus Evian Masters Tournaments 17th Edition. The new limited edition Modus is recognizable by its pink and white Evian Masters badging on the front wings, tailgate and logos of the Evian Masters on the front side and the trunk, as well as darkened mirrors and alloy rims.

This new limited edition version is based on the Dynamique equipment level of Modus, but comes with a number of exclusive appointments: a panoramic electric sunroof, automatic climate control, a 4x20W radio-CD with MP3 playback and steering wheel-mounted fingertip remote control, and a City Pack comprising electrically-folding exterior mirrors and a rear parking proximity sensor which, combined with the car's compact size, take the stress out of parking in built-up areas.
The limited edition Modus Evian Masters can be ordered with one of two high-end engines from the Modus range:
• the TCe 100, a feisty and flexible 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol powerplant which delivers responsive performance in all situations,
• and the diesel dCi 85 which, with CO2 emissions of just 114g/km, offers a remarkable trade-off between performance and fuel economy. It qualifies for the €500 'eco-bonus' subsidy system which operates in France.
For more than 10 years, Renault has been the official partner of the Evian Masters, the 2010 edition of which will take place on July 22-25.
As official supplier to the event, Renault will provide a fleet of 90 vehicles for use by the tournament's organisers, while the 10 former Evian Masters winners attending the event will be loaned a Modus Evian Masters for their transport needs for the duration of the competition. Renault will also have a Modus Evian Masters on display at the Hole in One, as well as a stand in the Partners' Village.
Only 500 Renault Grand Modus Evian Masters will be produced, with sales beginning on June 5, 2010 (French market only). The Renault Modus interior ambience is further enhanced by the split leather trimmed steering wheel and gear level knob, as well by the satin-finish chrome center console and air vent surrounds. Based on the Dynamique equipment level of Renault Modus, the limited edition Modus Evian Masters has a distinctly high-end feel to its appointments. It packs the following equipment :

- Elliptical headlamps with dedicated cornering lights
- Foglamps
- Automatic climate control with chilled glovebox
- Automatic headlamp and windscreen-wiper activation
- 80W radio-CD MP3 with six loudspeakers (including two tweeters), steering wheel-mounted fingertip remote control and separate display
- Electric rear windows with driver-controlled deactivation for children
- City Pack (electrically folding exterior mirrors + rear parking proximity sensor)
Prices to the limited edition Renault Modus Evian Masters start from 17,150 Euro and represent a benefit in kind customers of 3.9 per cent. Only 500 cars will be produced. They will be available exclusive in France from June, although order books are already open.

Renault is preparing an extreme version of the Hot Hatch Megane RS

Renault began testing a new modification of the charged hatchback Megane RS, which will appear on the market next year. This car, according to the publication Autoweek.nl, get upgraded chassis with a more rigid, sharpened under the track suspension setup.

In addition, the new version of Megane RS, may become a little easier for the base model and will be equipped with forced by 10-20 horsepower two-liter turbo engine. Recall that the engine at the current Megane RS develops 250 horsepower.

No matter how powerful and dynamic car, he can become a leader of his class only because of the nice, aggressive, unconventional or even futuristic design. Of course, what is under the hood, is not least important, but the first thing we see is a car body, and this conformation has a key role in the success of a particular model.

So, speaking of new projects, the imagination takes us far away from the technical characteristics of the car, allowing you to see it only from the outside.

Unfortunately for most of these models - this is exactly the pictures that have absolutely no chance to get into mass production, but in some cases, designers offered a contract with one or another automaker.

A brand new project BMW X9, certainly deserves attention, at first glance, the model looks the best option for the next Hollywood blockbuster than for everyday use. While no details on the concept, it is unclear that the propulsion system of its hold, and whether he will go into production in general.

Not so long ago appeared similar to the outline and for other models, including Ferrari and another version of the BMW, but BMW X9 option looks the most fascinating and makes us hope that BMW engineers do not leave it unattended.
